Gardening At The Railway Cottage Museum

posted in: Uncategorised | 0

First of all thank you to all the helpers that came along and dug, swept, trimmed, weeded, litter picked and generally sorted out the garden of No 34 Faringdon Road. (That’s the Railway Cottage Museum in case you were wondering).

The council had mowed the teeny lawn recently but the garden still needed quite a bit of tlc. The path was overgrown with weeds and grass, ivy was poking out of the hedge and litter had built up.

The greenery is all spruced up now and ready for a bit of colour – maybe a flower (and veg?) bed or two? We’ll see what develops in the future.

Photos are either ours or borrowed from the Mechanics Institution Trust’s recent Facebook post (cos Hannah is pretty quick off the mark).

Thanks again folks.

PS – John, before you use it, please wash that Tigger mug you found under the hedge.
